How to organize a winter wedding with “bows”
How wonderful the winter atmosphere is! Fireplace, hot chocolate, tartan, velvet and the magic of the Christmas spirit in the air. And if this year the kiss under the mistletoe was what you and your future husband exchanged on your wedding day? Today I want to tell you how to organize a winter wedding with “bows”. Magical, elegant and flawless!
Winter, identified as the “anti-wedding” season, is (fortunately) becoming a widely cleared concept and more and more spouses decide to celebrate their wedding in this very romantic and special period of the year.
The reasons, in addition to those already listed, are many.
First of all, it will not be necessary to find a theme that becomes the fil rouge of your wedding. It will be Christmas itself to give colors, ideas and emotions, the task of the edding Planner will be to help you not to overdo it and still maintain a sober and elegant style.
The locations are cheaper and have more availability as there are relatively few couples who decide to get married in winter.
But let’s come to aspects of a more practical nature.
The first thing a bride thinks about, after receiving the wedding proposal, is the dress.
Per il 2020 il bianco rimarrà il colore iconico dei matrimoni, a cambiare sarà il taglio degli abiti.
For 2020 , white will remain the iconic colour of weddings, the cut of the dresses will change.
Among the most interesting news is the presence of trousers also for the bride, declined in a tailleur or jumpsuite dress tight but with a wide finish and enriched by the presence of crystals and points of light.
But also short dresses for the most charming brides and for those who have a romantic soul, wide and princely cuts enriched with feathers and ruffles.
The colour par excellence of Christmas and holidays is red along with forest green, but perhaps for a bride who does not like to dare it could become a bit excessive. So why not use it for bridesmaids‘ dresses? Velvet is, as always, the fabric that best embodies the elegance of winter. For a slightly more lively and witty touch, the tartan is also great!
Invitations must absolutely recall the theme of the wedding, as we have said several times.
The kraft-style ones are perfect with the addition of “sensory” elements that can be traced back to Christmas (pine twigs, red berries, and cotton flowers).
White is perfect in combination with gold hues, enriched with silk ribbon or velvet details in red or greenery.
For the choice of the location you will certainly be facilitated!
The inability to opt for outdoor spaces will direct you to indoor environments that, thanks to the multiplicity of elements available in the winter-Christmas season, you can make really special.
Light design is essential. Ample space for lights, candles and light effects that can make the atmosphere truly elegant and enchanted.
The imperial table is always a guarantee!
Enriched with Christmas centerpieces, made with berries, pine cones, pine branches and cotton flowers, as well as the use of red flowers and spices such as cinnamon berries and cloves, it will enhance the festive atmosphere and make the environment warm and familiar.
For the seats, plenty of room for velvet and decorations with pine branches.

As I often say, guests need to feel comfortable and fully involved. Preparing wedding bag containing mini plaids or small gifts that can cushion the winter cold will certainly be an appreciated gesture.
For the menu, absolutely indicate the meats that have reached the best point of maturation this season.
For the appetisers, mini-samples of soups made with seasonal vegetables accompanied by croutons will do very well, while for the first a stuffed pasta could be the most appropriate choice.
Winter = hot chocolate! A self-respecting winter sweet table must have chocolate in all its versions, including the version to drink in a cup that can be customized with marshmallow and aromas, but above all with candy cane, the fabulous candy canes.
The Wedding Cake must be the worthy completion of this party.
Perfect the red velvet, stuffed with cream cheese and decorated with butcher’s leaves, but also the tiered cakes with white topping and red and greenery details… Maybe with a nice gold cake topper.
There are so many gift ideas to say goodbye to your guests.
They range from Christmas tree balls bearing your initials and your wedding day, to sweet gifts such as preparations for hot chocolate and biscuits up to candles and small miniature fir trees.
Even today I hope to have given you some useful and interesting tips for organizing your wedding. Remember, the watchwords are always the same: balance and elegance.
Soon!
