Giorgio and Olga: a “starry” baroque wedding among the cypresses of the Val d’Orcia

Every self-respecting fairy tale has a happy ending. But the real achievement is being able to write the pages of this fairy tale day by day, always keeping the fire that feeds the wonderful feeling of love alive.

Being able to tell these tales is an emotion that is renewed every time I meet a new married couple and so it was when I met Giorgio and Olga.

From the first words we exchanged, I realised I was in front of two lovers of beauty, elegance and refinement in details, eager to experience a magical, exclusive and unforgettable day as it is in the style of Guya Weddings.

For their dream wedding, Giorgio and Olga chose the suggestive Tuscan setting of the Val d’Orcia (located in the province of Siena on the border with Umbria) known for its scenic beauty, including the wonderful cypresses, and for its richness in terms of food and wine.

And no other place in the world could have reflected in such an exact way the personalities of these two spouses: Giorgio, in addition to being, by passion, a lover of food in his most authentic soul, is a pastry chef by profession while Olga is a lover of beautiful, of class, refinement and detail.

Olga, sposa, accessories, bride.

Taking inspiration from these elements, we set up a project that went beyond the standards of a classic wedding and turned into a real “baroque” style wedding luxury experience that the couple could share with their guests.

As I have argued for some time now, in order to be able to create events of a certain level, it is necessary to have competent suppliers able to guarantee excellent services.

Locanda in Tuscany has lent itself very well to welcoming this type of event by offering guests a starred dinner (1 * Michelin was awarded to the reference catering) full of sensory stimuli not limited only to taste, with a view of the beautiful Tuscan hills.

Among the wishes of the spouses was to reconstruct an intimate and familiar atmosphere in respect of the surrounding environment, which was able to reconcile the sensory stimulation generated by natural elements with elegance and richness in details, for me always essential.

With the collaboration of Event Set, we have created a rustic-style setting by choosing an imperial table, with seats different from each other, placed under a rough wood pergola enriched with precious crystal chandeliers from which a very special play of light.

To embellish the table a dusty pink silk runner, made by Allegoric Textiles Delights, placed in direct contact with the wood of the table and floral centerpieces (in line with the style of the bride’s bouquet)

For the moment of cutting the cake, we looked for an intimate glimpse in which all the beauty of this union and the uniqueness of such a special day could emerge, made even more exciting by the fact that the creator and maker of the cake was Giorgio.

In a pergola not far from the area where dinner was served, we set up a lounge area with cushions, candles and floral compositions with roses and pampas grass developed in height, thus combining the stimulation of touch with that of smell and of sight.

In the background a wonderful lit fireplace and in the center of this space a round table on which the cake has been placed: a watercolor cake in shades of white and pink, decorated with meringues, flowers and gold leaves.

The beauty of this moment was highlighted by the choice of details and by an installation of 50 vintage-style lights placed above the cake itself, a true optical marvel for spouses and guests.

To say goodbye to their guests and thank them for sharing such a happy moment, Giorgio and Olga have chosen handcrafted candles as cadeaux de mariage. An excellent conclusion to a sensory journey that involved all the senses.

To imprint everything on film, to make a beautiful lasting memory over time, was Martina Ruffini who with her photographs captured the essence of these two spouses and the beauty of their union.

Being able to turn Giorgio and Olga’s dream into reality was an honour and a pleasure. I hope to continue for a long time to fulfil the dreams of the spouses who choose me and make me witness their most beautiful day.

A warm hug
