Elopement Wedding: una fuga d’amore per un matrimonio intimo e romantico
At one time, the “escape of love” was seen as something “dishonorable” for families and for the spouses themselves.
Today, thanks to the trends launched by our overseas cousins, this concept has been cleared of customs and choosing remote and exclusive destinations to celebrate your intimate and romantic wedding with a few guests has become all the rage.
To elope, in fact, literally means escaping without looking back, so if we apply this term to marriage, we can say that it is a real love escape!
Like any other type of wedding, even the Elopement Wedding has its advantages and its criticalities. Budget containment is certainly among the first: limiting the number of guests will allow you to invest more in other aspects such as location, dress and photo shoot which in this type of weddings is really of great importance.
Take into account the reaction of friends and relatives when they know that you have decided not to invite them to your wedding, but explain the reasons for this choice without too many fears: those who love you and know you will understand your needs and your reasons.
Probably when I told you about “escape” you will have thought of the golden beaches of the Caribbean or the crystal clear waters of some breathtaking atoll and you will have thought that only the transfer to these locations would cost an exaggeration.
In reality, there are no constraints that require that the Elopement Wedding be celebrated in distant places, the real rule is that it is intimate places where it is possible to create an exclusive atmosphere and experience a truly romantic experience.
And if it is true that exotic destinations always remain among the most popular, more and more frequently the spouses go in search of unusual and particular places.
Iceland, for example, with its landscapes characterised by the alternation between sandy beaches and mountains.

Italy also offers glimpses very welcome to the newlyweds who opt for the Elopement Wedding.
At the top of the ranking stands Tuscany with its country locations immersed in the midst of wonderful hills and imposing cypresses.
The lake destinations follow, mainly the three great Italian lakes Lake Maggiore, Lake Garda and Lake Como which are flanked by smaller lakes, such as the suggestive Braies Lake in South Tyrol.

Surely the Elopement Wedding is not an option that can be evaluated by all couples. We need to put ourselves in the perspective of ideas that there could be unforeseen events a little more complicated to manage for which a good dose of audacity and a good ability to resist “long faces” are certainly needed!
Also for today I have concluded. I hope I have given you some useful advice and ideas.
Until next time
