Classic blue: pantone 2020 for a wedding in the name of elegance
Also for next year, the Pantone Color Institute has selected the color that will dictate influences and trends on the market. After the Living Coral of 2019, 2020 will be the year of the Classic Blue.
Chosen for its ability to instill calm and tranquility, Classic Blue, with its tones close to traditional blue but brighter than navy blue, symbolizes stability, constancy and connection and is an encouragement to hope for the future.
Icon of elegance and class, Classic Blue (but much more generally blue), already has a background in the world of weddings linked to tradition that invites the bride to wear something blue to maintain a link with her past.
But let’s see how to insert and decline the Pantone 2020 in the various details that characterize the wedding day.
Wedding Stationery
From the participations to the save the date, from the menus to the tableau de mariage, Classic Blue turns out to be an extremely versatile color and therefore usable on different materials (from plexiglass to the most precious types of paper) and in combination with other tones, especially the white and gold for a classic wedding or rose gold for a slightly fresher style.
Mise en place
An imperial table with Classic Blue details will be refined and elegant and will give a “royal” air to your wedding. From porcelain with blue elements, to the use of gold-colored cutlery knotted with a silk ribbon in Classic Blue or placed in contrast on a total blue table runner or tablecloth, or even to the insertion of small centerpieces made with delicate white hydrangeas.
Flower design
If you have chosen Pantone 2020 as the theme of your wedding, know that there are valid options also regarding floral details. In your bouquet, as well as in the corsage of the bridesmaids and in the boutonniere of the groom and any witnesses, a touch of Classic Blue does not hurt.
Of course, I recommend that you consult with your trusted flower designer.
In my opinion, hydrangeas and orchids in blue are really beautiful and elegant, as are the larkspur. If, on the other hand, you like a little more particular combinations, the overdo could be for you.
Dresses for bridesmaids
Blue, in all its shades and shades, is one of the great classics for formal wear. Whether it’s a long or short dress or just an accessory in blue, such as the hat, Classic Blue is a perfect color for your bridesmaids’ dresses.
Sweet table e wedding cake
To conclude on a sweet note, Classic Blue also for the sweet table: plenty of space for macarons, cake pops, donuts and pralines all in blue.
The wedding cake can be a reinterpretation of red velvet but in blue or it can have touches of natural blue with the addition of delicious blueberries.
Long live blue and its timeless elegance!
That’s all for today. I hope I have provided you with useful ideas to better organize your wedding.
Until next time
